Confession time—I used to be terrified of rejection. Seriously. In fact, many years ago, I actually broke down into tears after a client changed her mind about working with me before our first coaching session (fortunately, I’d hung up the phone by that point so I didn’t totally embarrass myself!).
Like myself, many coaches are fairly sensitive. Because of the nature of our work, we can’t hide behind a lot of invisible walls to protect ourselves from the judgement and rejection of others. Instead, we have to constantly be putting ourselves “out there” with our marketing and sales material and constantly risking rejection.
The good news is that you don’t have to let rejection bother you. Instead, you can become REJECTION PROOF and let rejection roll off you like water off a duck’s back.
